Boston - According to an Israeli news website a Saudi national is under police custody in custody, the man identified preliminarily as a 20-year-old with severe burns.
DEBKAfile is reporting that the man held under possible police guard in Boston is a Saudi national. The Jerusalem based website is also reporting that the United States Secret Service closed down the pedestrian walk way in front of the White House, and the Pentagon was place on heightened alert.
Meanwhile Fox News state that police are guarding a 20-year-old male with severe burns, however it is unclear whether or not the man is a victim or involved in the bombing. Two explosions occurred near Fairmont Copley Plaza, near the Boston Public Library, killing 2 people in the immediate aftermath and wounding over a hundred.
The FBI's national press office in Washington D.C. declined to comment on any person of interest being in police custody.
The New York Post also went on to report that a Saudi national was under police guard at a Boston hospital.
