article imageTaco Bell will start to have healthier choices by the year 2020

Fast food restaurant Taco Bell may be known for having a menu that includes a lot of junk food, but the company is planning to have healthier options by 2020.
CEO of Taco Bell, Greg Creed, announced last week that the company is exploring options in order to offer more balanced choices and more transparency, according to Fox. Creed went onto say that this means that new products could be introduced to the menu and existing offerings may undergo reformulations.
According to USAToday, however, the changes to the menu would not go into effect until the year 2020.
According to NBC, the change may seem like its going to take a long time, but it is hard to do without the company's customers noticing. It took Taco Bell about two years to cut around 20 percent of sodium on its menu.
Creed did not say whether or not the fast food chain would be dropping some of the items on the menu that contains a lot of calories. He said that they are not going to walk away from what the company is, but they will add more options for their customers.
