The first woman to ever serve as prime minister of Britain, Margaret Thatcher, has died at the age of 87. It is being reported that she suffered a stroke.
According to Yahoo, a spokesperson announced that she had a stroke. It was also reported that she has been in poor health throughout the recent years, and she reportedly was suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
According to Telegraph, her death was confirmed by her son, Sir Mark and daughter Carol. They confirmed that Thatcher died this morning.
According to Bloomberg, Thatcher is credited with helping to end the Cold War, and she was also known as the iron lady.
Her spokesman said that she died peacefully and that she loved her country and dedicated her life to improving the lives of other people.
