A couple built a ball pit in their apartment living room and created a video, posting it up on YouTube. The video is going viral.
In this weekend's odd news, a video, entitled, "How to build a ball pit in your living room" is going viral.
It was posted to YouTube by user MysteryMaccabee on March 19 (with mention to Viral Viral Videos for sharing the clip) .
The just under 2 minute clip portrays the young couple emptying their living room, cleaning the floor and moving out the furniture. In its place, they constructed a huge ball pit.
Using numerous baby gates that connect play-pen style, the couple created a large space, layered the floor with a covering and then dumped thousands of plastic balls into the "pit".

The video has gained a lot of attention, already having over 40,000 page views and tons of comments. According to "MysteryMaccabee", the couple used somewhere in the ballpark of 8,000 to 8,500 plastic balls.
The project would have cost hundreds of dollars but "MysteryMaccabee" shared in YouTube comments when responding to questions that she'd been lucky to find the plastic balls for free on Craigslist. The gates cost $150.
If you wanted to do this project at home and can't find free or discounted colorful plastic balls, she said it would cost about $150-$200 for 1,000 balls.
"Keep checking and eventually you will find a good deal," she recommended in her response.

There were no kids in the video at all and it is unclear if the couple has any children as it appears the duo did this just for fun.
How does "Mystery Maccabee" feel about the project?
"Go for it! I had lots of friends over and we had tons of fun!"
