A Tennessee eight-year-old girl has been sent home from school dozens of times this school year because of "her foul odor."
Krystal Hensley, the second-grader's mother, said that officials at a Washington County school continued to send her child home even after she made attempts to correct the problem, according to Fox.
According to NY Daily, Hensley says that her daughter is a great student and she also bathes every single day. She said that it seems that the school sends her child home at least once per month.
The school district said that officials asked the child when the last time she took a bath, and the girl could not remember. The district also said that the girl sleeps in clothes, and the Department of Children Services looked into the matter in the past, but a case was never opened.
According to Inquisitr, Hensley also said that she has no medical conditions that could be causing the odor.
School officials said that the girl will be suspended until the issue is resolved by a doctor or her parents, and as long as the odor is bad enough enough to cause others disruption.
