London - Rolling Stones fans who can't make it to this summer's Glastonbury Festival at the end of June, can get to Hyde Park, London, and enjoy the Rolling Stones in concert there instead.
The Rolling Stones who are appearing at Glastonbury have announced they will play at London's Hyde Park on July 6 the venue of a famous free concert which the Stones performed on July 5 1969, two days after guitarist Brian Jones, aged 27, was found dead at the bottom of his swimming pool.
The Independent quotes Sir Mick Jagger as saying: “We had such a great time playing the five concerts last year, we want to keep it going. Hyde Park holds such great memories for us and we can’t think of anywhere better to perform to our UK fans this summer.”
Tickets for the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park go on sale 9AM, Friday 5 April. More details here.
