Justin Timberlake, with his latest offering the 20/20 Experience, retains the number 1 spot on the U.K. album charts, holding off the new album from Depche Mode.
Justin Timberlake, who reached number one in the U.K. album charts last week by dethroning David Bowie, has retained the top spot with his 20/20 album by holding off Depche Mode's new offering, Delta Machine. According to the official charts company, only around 4000 copies separated the two acts.
In turn, '80s electro-pop band Depche Mode have pushed the David Bowie revival down one place to number three (Bowie topped the chart two weeks ago with his comeback album The Next Day).
There was another new entry, with New York indie rockers The Strokes (album: Comedown Machine) coming in at number 5.
The only other debut album in the top ten was Eric Clapton with Old Sock, (his 20th solo album) which came in at number 10.
