The Peeps have spoken. Or at least those who filled out a survey did. They answered some timely questions about these treats.
The treats that make their way into Easter season talk and baskets. Not to mention, their mouths.
For 60 years, Peeps® have been around and with that anniversary noted, here are the results of the survey.
The first question out of the gate was a simple one. Are Peeps a must-have in your Easter basket? Well, since this is their survey, it was not really a surprise that 97 percent said yes. As for the preference between Peeps Chicks or Bunnies, 65 percent voted for Chicks while 35 percent voted for Bunnies.
The one question that has baffled many was the long-debated, which came first, the chicken or the egg, or in this case, the chick or the egg. Well, the answer for this survey is consumers 72 percent of respondents said the "Chick came first" and 28 percent went with the "egg."
