article imageDrew Barrymore removing tattoos prior to converting to Judaism

By Matthew Hendricks     Mar 28, 2013 in Entertainment
Drew Barrymore may have a rather wild past behind her, but now she wants to grow up and convert to Judaism, the faith of her husband.
The 38-year-old Barrymore has decided to have all her tattoos removed, because she is converting to the faith of her husband, Will Koppelman. Drew married the art consultant in June of 2012.
For a traditional Jewish burial, one has to be permanent ink free. The Torah bans body art and states: "You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves."
Another reason, according to a friend of the Charlie's Angels star, is because Drew would like to become a Santa Barbara mom type and the tattoos don't suit that dress style.
She most recently starred in the 2012 film Big Miracle.
