By Jeff Campagna     Mar 27, 2013 in Travel
A new luxury travel package offers couples in the 1-percent a whirlwind tour of 962 UNESCO World Heritage Sites over the course of two years.
The couple's vacation package, which is a collaboration between VeryFirstTo, a British luxury e-commerce site and Hurlingham Travel, a bespoke travel company, has already garnered some serious interest since it was launched recently. Andrew Barker, managing director of Hurlingham Travel, told The Daily Mail, “This is certainly the most exciting trip we have ever managed, and is the most remarkable travel adventure imaginable.”
Remarkable travel adventure is right. Some of the itinerary highlights include UNESCO gems such as Mexico's ancient city of Monte Alban; the Taj Mahal in India; Petra; Cambodia's Angkor temples; Spain's Moorish Alhambra; the Great Pyramids in Egypt; China's enchanting Forbidden City, Peru's Machu Picchu, Yellowstone National Park, the Statue of Liberty, Yosemite and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. To sweeten the deal even more, a donation of $7,500 will be made to UNESCO during the trip.
The lucky couple, who will be flying business class of course, will be fortunate enough to stay in some of the world's most notable hotels including Sandy Lane in Barbados, the Hotel George V in Paris, New York City's The Plaza, The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai; Venice's Cipriani Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Moscow. The cool $1.5 million price tag is sure to arouse the cunning vendors in the crowded markets of the 157 countries the couple will be visiting.
Accordingl to The Daily Mail, previous vacation and experience packages offered by VeryFirstTo have included waking-up surrounded by one million rose petals on Valentine's day, a bottle of Azature 267 carat black diamond nail polish, a flight into space, the world's most expensive Christmas dinner and the chance to have your marriage proposal made into a national TV advert.
Start saving your pennies. 150,000,000 pennies to be exact.
