article imageVideo: Two-year-old bedtime bandit picks lock to steal toys

The parents of a two-year-old may have reasons to be worried about their little boy after they captured his night time burgling activities on camera.
The boy's eight-year-old sister complained to her parents that her little brother was taking her things at night. Her mom told her to lock her door.
But the girl complained soon after that her brother was still sneaking into her room at night and taking her things in spite of the fact that the door was locked.
The puzzled parents decided to set up a camera to observe night time goings-on.
The Huffington Post reports the boy's mother Joan Moser, said: "We were VERY skeptical so we set up the camera in the hall to see what would happen." She continued: "Sure enough within a few seconds of closing his door and locking hers he was at the door opening the lock. We could not stop laughing afterward and we let him sleep with the pillow pet that night."
The footage shows the boy opening the door of his bedroom and sneaking out in the dark. He tries to open his sister's bedroom door but it was locked.
According to the Daily Mail, he uses a pair of nail clippers to work on the lock and opens it! He enters his sister's room, nabs her pillow pet and returns silently to his room.
The boy's mother uploaded the footage to YouTube, saying: "This is what our 2 yr old does at night. He picks the lock to his sister's room and takes her stuff... We caught it on video."
The feelings the footage generates are understandably of ambivalence. While the footage is funny and one may even marvel at the youngster's precocity, the fear that this could be a smooth criminal in the making nags.
