Tina Fey hits it out of the comedy park with more Sarah Palin

By Marcus Hondro     Mar 24, 2013 in Entertainment
It has become arguable the main point of Sarah Palin hitting the national scene in America was so that Tina Fey could entertain us with her impression of her. Fey did it again last Tuesday while guesting on the esteemed 'Inside the Actors Studio'.
Whether host James Lipton asked Fey before their talk if she would launch into the character who famously boasted on 'Saturday Night Live' that she could see Russia from her Alaskan house, or he simply asked and she decided to wing it, isn't known.

"Would you allow me to interview Sarah Palin, please?" Lipton asked Fey. "We can try," she replied. Highlights? On same sex marriage: "Well, the Bible says it's gross. And I don't judge it. A lot of the amazing, wonderful people I met in the audience at 'Dancing With the Stars' seem to go that way. But no, marriage is meant for people who wear different kinds of swimsuits."
On gun laws, the '30 Rock' creator and star, as Palin, nailed that Palinesque way of stating the odd, irrelevant obvious to make a non-point: "You know Jimmy, I believe if everybody had guns, there would be fewer guns in the stores."
Lipton interacted with 'Palin' for some 3 and-a-half-minutes, doubtless leaving comedy fans hoping that Palin runs for president, governor, local sheriff, anything to get her back in the news and back on the comic radar of Tina Fey.
