The Israeli Shin Bet security forces have stated that five youths have confessed to a stone attack that injured 7 Israelis, including a toddler.
The five rock throwers in question are from Kfar Haras in the West Bank and were involved in an incident on March 14 which saw to them hurl rocks at a car near the Israeli settlement of Ariel in the West Bank. This caused the car to swerve and hit a truck injuring some seven Israelis, including a toddler named Adele Biton who is still in hospital after suffering a serious injury. The Shin Bet issued a statement which it outlined that, "Those involved in the attack, five youths aged 16 and 17 from the village of Haras, admitted during questioning by the Shin Bet to their involvement in the attack."
The agency noted an increase in recent months of such attacks against Israeli civilian targets and vehicles. It contends that, "The severe results of this attack illustrate again the danger inherent in these types of local terrorism incidents." (Jerusalem Post, March 24 2013)
