Nashville - The honors will not be handed out until April 7 in Las Vegas, but some of the Academy of Country Music Awards winners were announced today (March 22).
So, when the night begin, a few artists will already be winners, like Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean. Meanwhile, cheers for these awards as they hand out one to a nightclub. On that note, Joe's Bar in Chicago wins that one.

Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award (honoring recording pioneers in the country music genre): Keith Whitley and The Judds
Crystal Milestone Award (given to an artist or industry leader to commemorate an outstanding achievement): Jason Aldean
Gene Weed Special Achievement Award (honoring outstanding individual achievement in country music): Blake Shelton
Mae Boren Axton Award (honoring years of service to the Academy of Country Music): Tommy Wiggins
Poet's Award: (honoring songwriters for musical or lyrical contributions to country music): Guy Clark and Hank Williams

Nightclub of the Year: Joe's Bar, Chicago, IL

In other news, it was also announced the there will be a tribute to Dick Clark. The Artist of the Decade Award will be renamed in his honor. It was also unite the two past winners of this award, George Strait and Garth Brooks. They will host the tribute portion.
“Dick helped make country music accessible to a larger fan base and his efforts will not be forgotten. Garth and I were so grateful when we each received the ACM Artist of the Decade Award, so it’s only fitting that we’ll be honoring him with this tribute performance at the ACMs,” said George Strait. "He was music’s best friend, and a dear friend to me,” said Garth Brooks.
The ceremony will be telecast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7 at 8 p.m.ET/7 p.m. on CBS. It will be delayed on the west coast. Special Awards, Industry Awards, MBI (Musician, Bandleader, Instrumentalist) and Songwriter of the Year honorees will be featured at the 7th Annual ACM Honors event on Sept. 10. That will take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
