article imageJude Law bows out of 'Jane Got a Gun' after director Ramsay quits

By Marcus Hondro     Mar 21, 2013 in Entertainment
The independent feature 'Jane Got a Gun' was scheduled to start shooting today, Thursday, but may be delayed as they've lost one of their leads. Two days after director Lynne Ramsay bowed out, Jude Law has exited the film.
Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin) was a big reason Law signed on and he appears to have decided against working with Gavin O'Connor (Pride and Glory, Warrior) who only hours before Law's leaving, was named to replace Ramsay. Law and Ramsay are both from the U.K. but have not worked together.
Joel Edgerton, Natalie Portman on project
The film site reports that it's expected Joel Edgerton, who worked with O'Connor on 'Warrior' is likely to stick with the troubled project. The other star, Natalie Portman, is also a part of the film's production team. Edgerton signed on some three weeks ago after Michael Fassbender dropped out.
The Huffington Post reported that Fassbender dropped out of the film over creative differences with Ramsay. Law came in to replace Fassbender. 'Jane Got a Gun' revolves around a woman seeking help from an ex-boyfriend when her husband becomes the target of a gang.
