article imageOp-Ed: Is Pope Francis the Peter the Roman of medieval eschatology?

By Eliot Elwar     Mar 15, 2013 in World
While Pope Francis appears to be a nice and gentle spiritual leader, some biblical eschatologists fear that he is the Peter the Roman of St. Malachi's famous prophecy. A few biblical eschatologists are concerned about Pope Francis'Jesuit roots.
Tom Horn, who is a biblical eschatologist and co-author with Chris Putman of the book “Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope is Here,” said Bergoglio’s selection was a “fantastic fulfillment of prophecy.” He predicted Pope Benedict XVI would be the first pontiff in nearly 600 years to resign and he believes the election of Jorge Mario Bergoglio as the 266th Roman Catholic pontiff lines up with a medieval prophecy that would make him the “final pope” before the End Times, according to World Net Daily.
Jorge Mario Bergoglio selected for himself the name Francis I after the celebrated patron saint of Italy, St. Francis of Assisi. However, the Pope was never a Franciscan. He is a Jesuit, the first member of the Jesus Society to be elected to the papacy. He is the first religious order member to become pope since 1831, when the conclave elected Gregory XVI, a Camaldolese Benedictine monk, according to Alberto Riva of International Business Times.
Analysis: Pope Jorge Mario Bergolio
Pope Jorge Mario Bergolio fits the characteristics of the final pope that many Catholic and Protestant eschatologists believe will be the false prophet described in Revelation 13, according to eschatologists Tom Horn. Pope Francis is an Italian from Argentina where his mother and father were Italian immigrants. He originated from the Jesuit Order which is a psychologically astonishing fulfillment of St. Malachi’s prophecy. This was the order created specifically to destroy Protestantism during the Reformation and many years after. The Jesuits are a group of powerful, intellectual, and spiritual leaders. They are very special to the Catholic Popes and they were feared by many protestant Christians, a few Catholic Christians, and other religious groups because of their cunning and ruthless nature. They have taken a special pledge to defend the Catholic Church and its doctrines by any means necessary, according to many protestant eschatologists. If this Pope is St. Malachi’s 112th Pope, then he will be the leader that will destroy orthodox and protestant Christianity, while waging a losing war against the anti-Messiah of biblical prophecy (Revelation 13, 14 and Daniel 10 and 11), according many biblical eschatologists.
Pope Francis will probably be the man who will destroy the atheism movement sweeping across Europe and America. Pope Francis will preach and teach an ecumenical doctrine, he will become an ally with the Anti-Messiah before the anti-Messiah declares war against the Catholic Church, according to many prophecy scholars. Pope Francis will probably be gifted with supernatural powers, according to many biblical and prophetic analysis of the false prophet of Revelation 13 and elsewhere in God’s Holy Scriptures. Hopefully, this Pope is a good man and not the false prophet of Revelation 13.
