article imageVideo of nose-picking basketball fan goes viral

Portland - So your 15 minutes of fame finally arrives. There you are at a televised Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks game sitting directly behind the television sports commentators.
Big screen camcorders are televising every dalliance of expression in your face in high definition to millions of viewers. What's a well-heeled guy to do for an encore?
You guessed it. Shove an index finger so far up his nose it pops out his lower eyelid. That’s virtually what one spectator seated between TNT play-by-play man Kevin Harlan and color commentator Chris Webber did Thursday evening.
No doubt the well-dressed fan knew that he was being watched by a few million people…after all, he had parked his caboose directly behind the televised commentators prior to forking into his nasal passage with great exuberance and winking at the camera upon uncoupling a long bony finger from his nostril.
The wink and a hint of a mischievous smile came after the man peered briefly at his finger, registering a smirk that implied a 'gross' sighting on his fingertip.
In a television era of reality shows starring unknowns like Honey Boo-Boo and shows like Hillbilly Handfishin', a series dedicated to men who capture catfish with their bare hands, the video of a nose-picking fan was almost sure to go viral – and it has.
