On a sunny Saturday morning many people showed up to enjoy the 14th annual
Greater Manassas St. Patrick's Day Parade.
At about 10:00 a.m. several people already had their chairs set up along the parade route streets and parade-goers steadily arrived until the festivities started. Many people attending participated in the "wearing of the green".
The parade kicked off at 11 a.m. and lasted just over an hour. Attendees listened to numerous bagpipers and bands as they marched down the streets of Old Town Manassas. Visitors also saw the dancers, new and classic cars, military vehicles, fire departments, police, local businesses, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, school bands and much, much more.
There was also a leprechaun that made his way up and down the streets during the parade. The kids were eager for him to make his way over to visit for a bit.
