According to Rickman's guardian:
Her eyes were swollen from her crying and her wrists had welts on them. They cuffed her feet too and she asked to use the restroom several times and was ignored.
The local police claim they were called by the school, informing them that a child was out of control and tearing up the classrooms. They also claim that the child was put in a juvenile detention room with supervision.
The school has yet to make a comment regarding the events.
This isn't the first time in which an 8 year old girl has been arrested by local police agencies. Back in
2008 an 8 year old autistic girl was arrested and restrained by police after she got into a confrontation with teachers. The girl was also charged with battery, only to have the case thrown out by prosecutors.
