A middle-school student in Armona, California has been charged in the stabbing of another middle-school student, over a bag of chips.
On Wednesday, the 13-year-old girl was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, according to ABC.
According to The Sentinel, the girl told investigators that a boy was bothering her, and he snatched a bag of chips out of her hand. She went onto say that he refused to give them back and that is when she took out a folding knife, opened it up and plunged it right into his back.
The girl said she was infuriated, but she did not intend to do the amount of damage that she did. She said that she just wanted to poke him with it.
According to KMJ, The victim, who is 13-years-old, was airlifted to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
The girl was taken to Kings County Juvenile Center, where she is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
