article imageLil Wayne apologizes to Miami; speaks on Luther Campbell's letter

By Layne Weiss     Feb 24, 2013 in Entertainment
Miami - Last week, YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne, cursed out the top 3 players on the Miami Heat's roster; LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, even going as far as to say he slept with Bosh's wife, Adrienne.
Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell, a longtime Miami representative, called on both DJ Khaled and Rick Ross to set to Weezy straight for disrespecting Miami, HipHopDX reports. Campbell said he was "deeply offended" by Weezy's comments and wrote a blog about annoyed he is with the rapper in general. Luke wrote that Lil Wayne treats Miami like his b*tch because people let him." Luke recalls that during his era, Dr. Dre actually had to cancel shows in Miami due to his beef with Luke's rap group 2 Live Crew.
Weezy has been asked if he will relocate as a result of the recent drama. He says he won't because he loves it down there and the city has the best skate weather, HotNewHipHop reports. He did, however, apologize for his behavior.
In an interview with 99 Jamz, the rapper said he hasn't read Uncle Luke's letter, nor has he ever even met the guy, but he knows how feels about him, HipHopDX reports. He also said Miami has hated him since he's moved there.
"Ever since I moved here, there were billboards and signs saying 'Lil Wayne Go Back Home," he said, unsure of what he had ever done.
He says it was wrong of him to bash LeBron James and Miami, but he felt disrespected for being kicked out of a Heat/Lakers game. Heat spokesman Lorrie-Anne Diaz said Wayne chose to leave.
Weezy has not specifically apologized for comments he made about sleeping with Chris Bosh' wife Adrienne. If these comments are true, it happened way in the past, before she even knew Bosh. She was a popular fixture in the ATL club scene back then, known as "Shortstack Williams."
