Billboard Hot Country Songs charts for week ending March 2, 2013, for the second consecutive week.
The love ballad had previously peaked at No. 1 on the same charts for the week ending Sept. 29, 2012 and it has spent a total of three non-consecutive weeks in that top position. As of today, the song has been on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts for 52 weeks. The single was co-produced by Dann Huff and as of Jan 4, 2013, it has been certified double platinum by the
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The song’s music video has garnered wel over 27 million views on his official
YouTube channel.
“Wanted,” which Hunter co-wrote with Troy Verges, is up for “Song of the Year,” “Single Record of the Year” and “Video of the Year” at the 2013
Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards, which will are scheduled take place on April 7, 2013 and they will be broadcast live on CBS. The awards ceremony will be co-hosted by such country superstars as Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan.
If these successes were not enough for Hunter, his latest radio single “
Somebody’s Heartbreak” sits at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts.
