Decades after his death at 27, guitar superstar Jimi Hendrix is releasing new material. The song 'Earth Blues' is the latest, it's out now and will be part of an album producers call 'People, Hell and Angels' coming out on Legacy Records March 5.
The songs from 'People, Hell and Angels' were recorded from the years 1968 and 1969 and are not part of his recordings with his regular band of Brits, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell in The 'Jimi Hendrix Experience'. The album will have 12 previously unreleased Hendrix tracks and the material is more experimental; the album will list the musicians playing with him.
Legacy Records soundcloud site features 'Earth Blues' and another track from the recordings, 'Somewhere,' released last month. Hendrix would have turned 70 on November 27, 2012; he died of asphyxiation in London in September of 1970.
