Theories and speculations of UFOs continue to surround Mexico's Popocatépetl volcano. An active volcano, for months now claims of UFO spottings at the Popocatepetl have persisted and recent footage has emerged.
Is Mexico's Popocatépetl volcano a refuge for UFOs? Many on the Internet have been speculating the idea for some time. "El Popo", as the volcano is affectionately called by locals, is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Mexico City.
Generally Popocatépetl is an active volcano, but is it just volcanic activity or is there something else keeping it as an "active" location?
Ever since Popocatépetl began to reawaken last spring and authorities raised its alert level for a time, this writer has observed various reports and claims surface over the past months that indicate UFOs frequent the Mexican volcano and that it is some sort of special location for visitors from outer space. Some have even said the UFOs come from within the fiery depths of the volcano.
Just this week a video surfaced on Latin American media that has "caused a stir" on local television news, as the International Business Times reported.
The video shows what appears to be two flying objects flying into Popocatepetl's opening from either side.

While some feel it's a UFO, others say it's likely a meteor shower. One YouTube commenter, MrWutangkilla, indicated in the video's comments there an airport is located in the vicinity behind the volcano.
Previous video that surfaced last October that highlighted an "cigar shaped" UFO was spotted at Popocatépetl volcano was later determined to be an "elaborate hoax" reported International Business Times.
The Popocatépetl volcano is 5,455 meters (about 17,900 feet) high. The question of whether or not UFOs are hovering at that altitude and taking heat baths in the volcano continue to spur speculation.
Reportedly, one media outlet has a camera permanently directed at the volcano.
What do you think? Is Popocatépetl some sort of safe haven for UFOs or is there another explanation?
