The elderly women from Portsmouth's 'Feaster Seniors Living' were fighting over what else but the event that would take place in the common area. One wanted to use the space to sell her Avon
products, confident women in the 70s and beyond would be in the market for beauty products, while the other wanted to play bingo.
Police break-up senior fight
The police were called in and report that the two actually did fight. Before long the police say they seemed to have things under control and so they left. But two hours later police were called back as the two women went toe to toe again over the same thing. They've yet to press charges, in part because the victim may not be able to testify as to whether a crime occurred.
That's because an issue for the police and their investigation is the fact memories can quickly fade for the elderly, including short term memory. "A third party alleges that the one that wanted to sell her products grabbed the wrist of the other person who wanted to play bingo," Sgt. Kuffer Kaltenborn of the Portsmouth police told the SeaCoastonline
"It's not the victim that alleges the crime. She (the victim with the injured arm) isn't even sure if she was assaulted or not."
