Fans of the "Mortal Kombat Legacy" webseries can now look at the trailer for the second season as it gets to the fight to protect Earth. New fighters are revealed in the trailer.
The trailer for season 2 of the “Mortal Kombat Legacy” has been released for everybody to view after its debut viewing at the 2013 Streamy Awards which took place on February 17. In season two of Mortal Kombat Legacy, the meat and potatoes of the storyline such as the tournament to decide the fate of Earthrealm is revealed.
Season two's trailer gives a glimpse of what to expect such as the possible back story of the feud between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. In this season, the fighters from both light and darkness fight for the sake of Earth. In the first season, Mortal Kombat Legacy focused on the origins of the many different fighters; however, neither Kung Lao nor Liu Kang were revealed as it was being saved for season two.
Mortal Kombat Legacy gives a retelling of the story behind Mortal Kombat. It is revealed that actor Brian Tee portrays Liu Kang while Mark Dacascos portrays Kung Lao.
In this series, it shows Liu Kang as a possible alcoholic who's jaded and disillusioned with his destiny and humanity in general.
Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa, who played the dark sorcerer Shang Tsung from the original “Mortal Kombat” movie, reprises the same role for the series and replacing Jonathan Phan who took on the role for the first season.
Veteran actor Casper Van Dien replaces martial arts actor Matt Mullins as Johnny Cage while martial arts stuntman Eric Jacobus replaces veteran actor Tahmoh Penikett as Kurtis Stryker.
Actor Ian Anthony Dale reprises his role as Scorpion from the original online proposal trailer and season one of the series. Kenshi and Ermac, who make appear for the first time in Mortal Kombat Legacy, are respectively portrayed by Daniel Southworth and Kim Do Nguyen.
