By Gar Swaffar     Feb 3, 2013 in Crime
Murphys - A double murder-suicide has broken the quiet at Forest Meadows subdivision in Murphy's, Ca. One father and two teenagers are the victims.
Information has now been made available regarding the murder-suicide which appears to have occurred at some time between Thursday and Saturday.
MyMotherlode reports Phillip Marshall aged 54, and his two teenage children, 14-year-old Macaila Marshall, and 17-year-old Alex Marshall were all found deceased with gun shots to the head. The Sheriff's Department suggests Phillip Marshall shot both of his children and then turned the weapon on himself. A Phillip Marshall who has a listing at MyLife.com carries only a very limited biography.
The family's home in the Forest Meadows subdivision is the scene of an ongoing investigation by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department at this time. Phillip Marshall's estranged wife, Sean Marshall, was not in the home at the time of the shooting, she was alerted to the incident while traveling in Turkey.
Phillip Marshall is reported by the Union Democrat as being a pilot with an airline transport license.
The actual date of the incident is still being investigated as the teens hadn't been seen since Thursday of last week. Two of the teens friends had gone to the home to check on Alex & Macaila and saw Phillip Marshall lying in the floor in a pool of blood. When the Calaveras Sheriff's Department entered the home, they found a Glock semi-automatic pistol under him.
