A new preview video has been released for the upcoming crowd action brawler game from Bandai Namco called "One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2." The game will be released first in Japan during the spring before a summer international release.
Bandai Namco has released the latest video for its soon-to-be released crowd brawler game called “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2.” This is a crowd fighting game which is similar to the “Dynasty Warriors” series; but, this has everything to do with the popular One Piece series which started out as a manga and then adapted into an anime series. The storyline of the game follows the manga, without the anime filler arcs, which focuses on the Skypiea, Thriller Bark, and New World story arcs. While you mainly play as the Straw Hat Pirates, the main protagonists of the series, their in-game appearances are taken from their appearances in the 2-year in-story time skip.
A game play demonstration is given in regards to the Straw Hat Pirates in action as they utilize their own individual skill sets to take on crowds of enemies. You have Monkey D. Luffy using his Gum Gum ability to use elongated limbs & his ability of Haki, Sanji with his kicking ability, Chopper with his ability to assume different beast forms, Franky with his arsenal of built-in weapons, Robin with her ability to generate extra limbs, and so forth.
However, the extended preview trailer shows that there are other characters you can play as. Such examples are Enel, Buggy the Clown, Perona, Kuma, and Boa Hancock.
If you are a fan of the One Piece series, then this is a game you may want to go ahead and get.
If you are familiar with the story arcs, then you should be familiar with the in-game storyline. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be out on March 20 in Japan for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. The game will be made available to North America and Europe in the summer time only for the Playstation 3.
