Lex Luthor, a titular antagonist in DC Comics, is introduced as one of the characters in the upcoming fighting game from Netherealm Games called "Injustice: Gods Among Us."
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming 3D fighting game called “Injustice: Gods Among Us.” In this trailer, Lex Luthor is introduced. Those not familiar with Lex Luthor, he is one of the biggest villains in the DC Comics franchise. Also, Luthor is the titular antagonist to Superman who is one of the flagship heroes for DC Comics. In any sort of fictional media that involves Superman, it's highly likely that Luthor comes off as one of the villains or the only villain in the story.
This trailer seems to set up the events for Injustice: Gods Among Us. The voice actors from the cartoons reprise their roles for the characters in the game. Such examples would be the actors for Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman. Wonder Woman, in her voice over narrative, talks about how man's aggression can only be quelled and not neutralized. Superman talks about how many lives were lost because he constantly holds back. Batman talks about going up against a regime and will no longer hide in the shadows. Lex Luthor, who is introduced for the first time, talks about how “hero worship” will lead to bad things.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is the latest fighting game to come out of “Netherealm Games.” Netherealm Games is made up of the remnants of Midway Games. This is a work between Netherealm Games, DC Comics, and Warner Brothers. The last game to come from Netherealm Games is the reboot of the “Mortal Kombat” series.
It is reported that the official launch date for Injustice: Gods Among Us is April 16. This game will be made available for the Wii U, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. There will be a regular edition and a collector's edition.
