Burglars targeted the home of Greek Communist party MP Liana Kanellis while she was at home sleeping, making off with €800, valuables, and her car.
Communist MP (KKE) Liana Kanellis came to international attention when Golden Dawn MP Ilias Kasidiaris slapped her in the face during a live television broadcast in June 2012. Now Kanellis is once again making headlines as her home was robbed while she slept.
According to Ta Nea thieves made their entrance through the French windows without disturbing Kanellis who failed to realize there were intruders in her home.
Speaking to George Papadakis on ANT1 regarding the burglary, Proto Thema reported Kanellis said: "There were these common thief who entered my house."
KKE issued a statement claiming the incident was more than just a robbery and had a "political message."
