Blizzard Games has released two new video trailers for its latest installment of the "Starcraft" franchise called "Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm" which continues after "Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty."
Blizzard Games has released two new videos for its newest science-fiction strategy game called “Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm” which kicks off the newest single-player story campaign of the popular real-time strategy series and franchise. If you have played “Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty,” then you should know what to expect when Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm is released to stores. The first video released by Blizzard Games, in relations to Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, shows the opening cinematic of the game. Kerrigan, one of the major characters of the Starcraft franchise, gives a narration of her time being under control of the Zerg leadership as the Zerg Queen aka the “Queen of the Blades.”
It turns out to be a dream of Kerrigan when she was the Zerg Queen unleashing an army of the insect-like Zerg upon the Terran forces. In a sense, this has much similarities to the live-action film series called “Starship Troopers.” Before the end of the cinematic opening trailer, Kerrigan wakes up realizing that it was just a dream. For those new to the Starcraft franchise, the events of Starcraft II let alone Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm can be linked to the events of the Terran campaign of the first Starcraft game which came out during the 1990s.
Story-wise, Kerrigan got betrayed by soon-to-be Emperor Mengsk and was left behind to die at the hands of the Zerg; but, it turned out she became the Zerg Queen. As for a spoiler, Kerrigan is no longer the Zerg Queen after the events of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.
Also, Blizzard Games has released the campaign trailer for Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm. You play as the three main groups: Terrans (humans), Zerg, and Protoss. This trailer showcases multiplayer strategies that can be employed in the game. It also shows the different units that players can employ in the game.
Fans of the Starcraft series have something to look forward to. If you have played Wings of Liberty, then you may want to get Heart of the Swarm to continue with the storyline. This game will be released across the world on March 12. Those that plan to buy a copy of Heart of the Swarm should keep March 12 marked on their calendars.
