Nintendo has released a teaser trailer of a crossover game with ATLUS which brings together characters from the "Fire Emblem" and "Shin Megami Tensei" franchises.
As of late, there are video game companies joining together in making crossover games bringing characters of different franchises together. Such examples are: “Namco X Capcom” (a collaboration between Namco and Capcom), “Kingdom Hearts” (a collaboration between Disney and Square Enix), “Capcom vs. SNK” (a collaboration between Capcom and SNK), and many more. Currently Level-5 and Capcom are working on developing “Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney” which brings together Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright. Game developers/publishers ATLUS and Nintendo are coming together to come up with their own crossover game.
Nintendo has released a teaser trailer for their crossover game.
However, an official title hasn't been given out yet. Currently, this project is known as “Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.” In this respect, it brings together characters from the Shin Megami Tensei (SMT) and Fire Emblem franchises. It is unknown what the game will be like as this video trailer is simply a teaser. Since both franchises deal with role-playing games, it's highly likely this game will be a role-playing game; but, it's further unknown on what type of format the game will be as SMT's games operate on a standard RPG format while the Fire Emblem series operate on a tactical RPG format.
The announcement was made earlier by Nintendo. Apparently it would seem most likely that Nintendo will be publisher. It is unknown when this game will be released. When released, this crossover game will be made available to the Nintendo Wii U. Also unknown is if this game will be Japan-exclusive or if it will be available worldwide.
