Konami has released three new trailers to promote "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance" which is due for a February 19 North American release.
As “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” is preparing for its mid-February release, its publisher Konami has launched some new trailers to continue generating buzz and hyping the game up. From what these trailers show, it adds to the built-up excitement before the game's release. This is the latest installment of the popular “Metal Gear Solid” series; but, this game is more action based than stealth and tactics based. To further build up the excitement before the game's release, three new trailers are released. The first trailer is known as the “Zandatsu” trailer, the second is known as the suit overview trailer, and the third is the locales trailer.
In the Zandatsu trailer, a demonstration is shown of Raiden performing his signature in-game attack called the “Zandatsu.” The Zandatsu attack has Raiden slicing up his cybernetic-augmented enemies on screen and removing their spinal columns which are infused with special electrolytes that restore his health.
In the suit overview trailer, a demonstration of the suit's specifications are revealed. The video starts off with the explanation of “blade mode” which uses up energy in the process. It talks about other abilities such as “ninja run,” “enhanced augmented reality,” etc.
The locales trailer shows the different places across the world you will visit through the game. Just about everywhere you will be fighting against cyborg soldiers.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released on February 19 to North America for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. While Konami published the game, Platinum Games developed the title. Instead of taking the role of Solid Snake, you take control of Raiden who debuted in “Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.”
