Chelsea - 'Golden Balls', British footballer David Beckham, must be proud as punch to see son Brooklyn take part in a trial for Chelsea
Footballer David Beckham, and wife Victoria, formerly Posh in the Spice girls, have three boys and a girl. The family are back in the UK following David's departure from L A Galaxy. He has yet to secure a deal at a football club. Eldest son Brooklyn could beat him to it.
When the Beckham's were seen at Chelsea football ground, on Tuesday fans speculated that Becks may be about to sign here. It was soon revealed that it was eldest son, 13-year-old Brooklyn who might end up at Chelsea, following a trial.
If Brooklyn is selected to play for Chelsea he will be following in his father's footsteps. Chelsea are no second-rate team. Winners of the Champions League, selection for Brooklyn would be a good start in the game. He would be playing for a top-class youth team.
His trial was for the Under-14 squad. The Guardian reports that David and Victoria would never push their children into any particular venture. Brooklyn may, however, have inherited a passion and talent for football.
37-year-old David has enjoyed a long and successful football career. He has played for 'Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and Milan, while also accumulating 115 England caps'. David played a key role in the British World Cup bid and was involved in the bid for the London 2012 Olympics and paralympics.
