A total of nine Palestinian youths have now been arrested in connection with the snowball attack against ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jews in Israel just over a week ago.
A video of the youths attacking the Haredi men with snowballs by the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem went viral, attracting thousands of comments of disgust.
Around 100 youths pelted the Jewish men with snowballs whilst shouting "Allah hu Akbar". According to
Haaratz one of the men who was attacked said he was also "tackled to the ground and punched and kicked in the face and back."
The
Jerusalem Post reported the Arab youths spent the morning throwing snowballs at Jews, Arabs and tourists, but the situation got out of hand when the youths picked on the Haredim.
The Jerusalem District Police have now arrested nine youths, even though
Haaratz reported the Jewish men involved refused to lodge a complaint.
