Corvallis - A 30-year-old Oregon man who allegedly tattooed his name near a girl's vagina for her 15th birthday has been arrested and charged with rape.
Matthew Abram Rader of Corvallis has been charged with third degree rape and sodomy, second degree online corruption of a minor and using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct.
According to KBOI2, the victim told police that Rader gave her three tattoos for her 15th birthday-- a butterfly and a skull on her neck and his name and a clover near her vagina. Police say they believe that means Rader was having an illicit sexual relationship with the girl when she was 14 years old.
Police launched an investigation in December 2012, examining many sexually explicit messages sent between Rader and his alleged victim. The girl was also interviewed extensively.
During the course of the investigation, a detective was granted control over the alleged victim's Facebook account. Posing as the girl, the detective asked Rader if he still had nude photos he took of her with his cell phone.
"I don't have 'em or I would... I need more," Rader replied the next day.
"What kind of pics do you want???" the detective wrote back.
"I want full body pics, faces pics," Rader answered. "I wanna see your nipples and MY (vagina), baby... After all, my name IS on it."
Rader was arrested on January 2 and pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him. The Huffington Post reports that bail has been set at $200,000.
The victim informed police that she never revealed her true age to Rader.
