A special video has been uploaded by Game Trailers that gives a list of what fighting games will be released this year such as the Playstation Vita (PSV) port of "Dead or Alive 5."
With the start of 2013, one can anticipate what games are going to be released this year. Game Trailers has uploaded a special video on what fighting games are going to be released in 2013. If you are a fan of the fighting game genre, then you may want to pay attention to the games that will be coming out.
First in the video is the Playstation Vita (PSV) port of “Dead or Alive 5” which came out last year. That game introduces a new character named Rig who is from Canada and is a practitioner of Tae Kwon Do and a new character named Mila who is a female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. The game features guest appearances of Akira Yuki, Sarah Bryant, and Pai Chan from Sega's “Virtua Fighter” series.
Other games being released this year are: “Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3,” “Darkstalkers Resurrection” which is a bundle of “Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge” & “Darkstalers 3: Jedah's Damnation,” “Injustice: Gods Among Us” which is a fighting game with DC Comics characters, “Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle,” a Wii version of “Super Smash Brothers,” and a future Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) game.
These are the fighting games due for release this year. There seems to be at least one type of fighting game for everybody. An article on the website called “Insert Credit” had a foreword on why fighting games matter. It explains that beating a person in a fighting game requires that you understand the elements of game design, psychology, programming input, motivation, human physiology, and everything else; then you apply that all to laying the smackdown on your opponent's virtual avatar.
It paraphrases MMA fighter Renzo Gracie in that fighting is the best thing one can have in ones soul. In most cases, that's probably more towards hand-to-hand combat and not weapons combat.
