article imageDuchess of Cambridge's baby due in July

London - Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, is the latest member of the inner circle of the British Royal family. Intense media interest in her began before her marriage to Prince William. Now that she is pregnant that has intensified.
Kate Middleton married Prince William in April 2011. 'Royal watchers' went wild. Kate and William became the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge but to fans of the royal couple they remained 'down to earth'. Kate is adored for her looks, style, elegance and simplicity. She appears a less complex character than William's mother, the late Princess Diana. Husband, William, has worked hard though to keep Kate away from too intense media attention. The news that she was pregnant, when it broke, soon filled the media.
Kate's pregnancy has been marred by a period of ill health and the tragic suicide of a nurse. Today, however, it is about the future royal baby, and when it will make its entrance on the world stage.
St James' Palace have announced that the Duke and Duchesses baby is expected in July. Dating a future birth is fairly accurate in the 21st Century, although the unexpected can always happen.
The Palace also issued an update on Kate's state of health. Her severe morning sickness, hyperemisis gravidarum, is said to be improving. This fairly rare condition is more often experienced by a woman carrying twins, however Kate is not.
Legislation
due to go through Parliament will mean that the baby, be it a boy or a girl, will be third in line to the throne.
Kate has limited her public engagements, but was seen in public last Friday, at the unveiling of her first portrait. It is doubtful any official news on the sex of the forthcoming baby will be announced until after the birth.
