With many games being available for home and portable consoles, it would seem that PC games might be obsolete; but, that's far from the truth. Even games that are made primarily for the consoles have found a home on the PC. Examples would be “Street Fighter X Tekken” or “Super Street Fighter IV” which are more console games than PC games; but, you find those games on the PC anyway. With PC games, it gives people the creativity to create their own modifications or “mods.” If you have played games such as “Half-Life 2” or “Fallout: New Vegas,” for the PC, you may have come across a couple of those mods.
“Grand Theft Auto IV” by Rockstar Games, for the PC, is by no means an example. While modding may seem to be no big deal; there's a good amount of programming that goes in it. Kotaku reports of an Iron Man mod that's available. In a demonstration video
, the mod simply does more than give your character the skin model for Iron Man's suit. If you are familiar with the Iron Man comics, you may appreciate that this mod also gives you his special abilities of flight, repulsor blasts, and so forth. If you are one of those many GTA players that do not bother with the missions and just like to wreak havoc on the AI-controlled citizens, this mod might be for you.
