Returning from a visit to India a man in Calgary, Canada, found he had unknowingly helped an 'immigrant' into the country.
Unpacking from a visit abroad can take time. A man in Calgary took a couple of days to unpack, following a trip to India. Imagine his shock when he discovered that a half-metre long, brown-coloured snake had been free in his home for possibly a couple of days.
The snake was unwittingly brought into the country, in his luggage, reports the Huffington Post. Arriving home from work on Thursday the man found the snake roaming free. With no knowledge of whether it was harmless or poisonous he called 911.
Firefighters and an animal control company answered the call and attended the scene. Perhaps the most shocking news is that they could not locate the snake. An initial four hour search of the man's home, in the south-east area of Calgary, proved fruitless, or should that be 'snake-less?'
Traps have been set, and the search continues, for the unwelcome souvenir.
