South Korean documentary "Sea of Butterfly" shows that love is blind and has no bounds as it follows the marriage of Jae-nyeon and Woo-yeong, two people living with their own individual physical and mental handicaps.
The trailer for this upcoming South Korean documentary called “Sea of Butterfly” has been made available for viewing. From what the trailer shows, it is something that could give someone deep perspective about the world let alone about marriage. In most cases, marriage can be a pretty difficult thing to go through. One can consider the aspect of marriage troublesome. Regardless of the hardships a couple go through, it's all right as long as both sides try to make the marriage work. In Sea of Butterfly, it follows a couple named Jae-nyeon and her husband Woo-yeong who are going through married life.
While marriage can be difficult, there are plenty of other factors that can make it more complicated. In the case of Jae-nyeon and Woo-yeong, both of them are living through life with mental handicaps. Jae-nyeon is coping with encephalopathy while Woo-yeong has a brain condition that has him confined to a chair. The two of them have been dating for many years before getting married.
There are a lot of things to cope with such as the gap between their ages, their own handicaps, and so forth. Now, they have to deal with the hardships that come with married life. In the documentary's synopsis, it asks the question: Will the two of them be able to succeed in making the marriage work?
Sea of Butterfly will be released nationwide across South Korea on January 24. The documentary is directed by Park Bae-il. For those that are married, thinking about getting married, and/or having relationship problems, perhaps this is one film that should be seen.
