A British doctor has become the first person to finish the world's hottest curry, even after suffering hallucinations that were brought on by the dish.
Consultant radiologist Ian Rothwell, 55, ate 'The Widower curry' at a restaurant in the UK, and he finished the entire thing, according to Daily Mail.
It took Rothwell over and hour to eat the curry, which tops six million units on the Scolville Scale. The curry is also hotter than a drink of anti-riot tear gas.
According to Huffington Post, the chefs at Bindi restaurant in Grantham, England, have to wear goggles and a face mask when they prepare the dish.
Muhammed Karim, the managing director and executive chef at Bindi, said that Rothwell had to take a 10 minute walk in the middle of eating the dish. That is when he allegedly begane to hallucinate.
According to International Business Times, once Rothwell finished the curry, he said that finishing the curry was harder than climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Rothwell said that he was determined to finish the curry, even as it got hotter and hotter as he ate it.
