trailer has been released for an upcoming Japanese anime series called “
Tamako Market.” This is a longer promotional video trailer and it was premiered at Comiket 83, the largest manga and anime event in Japan. From what the trailer shows, the series gives a comedic and down-to-earth feel. Furthermore, this anime seems to be targeted towards the crowd of younger school-age females.
The series is set to air in Japan on January 9, 2013 for up to twelve episodes. Tamako Market focuses on 1st year high school student, named Tamako Kitashirakawa, who is the main heroine of the series. It seems that the main theme is the rice cake called “mochi” as Tamako is a lover of mochi and that her parents own a mochi shop at the Usagiyama Shopping District. Not much information has been revealed; however, it might focus on Tamako and the whole aspect of mochi.
