The Discovery Channel caught a rare glimpse of two giraffes fighting over territory on camera. The video shows the usually gentle creatures whipping their heads at each other.
According to io9, the giraffes were filmed as part of an upcoming documentary series called Africa, which will premiere on January 8th.
According to Inquistr, people who want to view the entire giraffe fight will have to wait until the series airs, as the video is only a teaser.
According to Radar Online, the documentary is narrated by Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker, who explains to viewers that the fight is all about machismo.
Whitaker said that most of the time giraffes are gentle vegetarians, but they will fight when they need to protect their territory.
