A promotional video
trailer has been released for an upcoming Japanese anime series called “
Dansei Bunrel no Crime Edge.” The series is adapted from a still ongoing manga series of the same name which is written by Tatsuhiko Hikagi and published by Media Factory. The story focuses on two characters, with interesting traits, end up fated together.
It
focuses on a young boy named Kiri Haimura who has a love when it comes to cutting the hair of girls. He comes across a young girl named Iwai Mushanokoji who has very long hair. In a sense, Iwai is similar to the fairy tale princess named Repunzel who had long hair. Also in that sense, Iwai is called the “Hair Queen.” With Iwai, she is cursed of having hair that cannot be cut for all eternity.
Upon meeting Iwai, Kiri is able to break the curse by use of a pair of special scissors in his possession called the Dansei Bunrel no Crime Edge which is able to cut her hair. However, it triggers a series of events in which Kiri ends up being Iwai's personal protector as people that possess the “Killing Goods” who want to kill her.
The anime adaptation is due for
release sometime in April of 2013.
