Video: 'Phantom Thief Roman' second preview trailer

A second promotional video has been released for the upcoming Japanese anime series called "Phantom Thief Roman" which is due to air in Japan on January 7.

The latest promotional video trailer has been released for the upcoming Japanese anime series called “Phantom Thief Roman” which is called “Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman” in Japan. The artwork and character concepts come from Monkey Punch who created a similar anime series called “Lupin III” aka “Lupin the 3rd.” From the promotional video trailer, the animation style and jazzy music is similar to the Lupin the 3rd series; but, it takes place in a different era of time. Phantom Thief Roman, with respects to the series, will take place in the Bakumatsu era. That's the historical era of Japan before it transitioned to the Meiji Era where power was taken from the shogunate and restored back to the emperor. The main character is a person named Manjiro who works as a helper at day; by night, he becomes the person known as Phantom Thief Roman. Phantom Thief Roman airs in Japan on January 7, 2013.
