On December 29, Junior Dos Santos walked into UFC 155 as the heavyweight champion but it was Cain Velasquez who walked out the champion.
According to Salt Lake Tribune, Velasquez won the title after battling with him for the full five rounds. Velasquez was not able to score a knockout or a submission but he did win via unanimous decision.
According to Washington Post, Velasquez took control of the fight early on and ended up flooring Dos Santos with a big right hand in the firs round. From then on Dos Santos was never able to fully recover from the right hand shot.
According to Sports Illustrated, Dos Santos fought Velasquez back in November 2011, and he ended up beating Velasquez in just 64 seconds.
At the end of the bout, Dos Santos and Velasquez gave short interviews, and Dos Santos said that he would come back for the title in the future.
