Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way Ball' tour will include a Born Brave Bus, to be launched by her 'Born This Way Foundation'. The bus will follow Gaga around her North American tour and offer her Little Monsters pre-show food, games, music and therapy.
"For those wondering about the "counseling" at the BTW Ball Born Brave pre-show, it will be a fun tailgating experience for monsters to unite," Lady Gaga wrote on Facebook. "At the Born Brave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends.
"There will also be food and games, DJ White Shadow and Lady Starlight will DJ with host BREEDLOVE to keep the experience fun."
Lady Gaga's mother and 'Born This Way Bus'
Lady Gaga added that the Born Brave Bus will be a place where "mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgement, FREE real help available to all." She also wrote "mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around 'help' and make it fun." By mom, Gaga is referring to her real life mother, Cynthia Germanotta, the BTWF president and its co-founder. Germanotta wrote a statement about the project and her hopes for it.
“Now more than ever, our kids need access to support within their communities, including mental health services,” Germanotta wrote. “By connecting youth to these local resources, we hope to plant the seeds that will help them deal with today’s challenges and inspire them to continue exercising their strength and bravery well after the Born Brave Bus leaves town.”
Lady Gaga's North American 'Born This Way Ball' tour begins in Vancouver at the Rogers Arena on January 11 and 12 and continues until a date in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 20. There's no indication yet how fans will gain admission to the bus and receive therapy.
