article image'Bioshock 2' to be free for Playstation Network Plus members

By Can Tran     Dec 28, 2012 in Entertainment
Playstation Network (PSN) Plus subscribers, in January, will be able to download a free copy of 2K Games' "Bioshock 2" for Playstation 3 consoles.
With “Bioshock Infinite” coming out in March 2013, you have more than enough time to somewhat get familiar with the “Bioshock” series. If you have an account with Playstation Network Plus (PSN Plus), then you can download a free copy of “Bioshock 2” come January 2. Bioshock 2, which has a completely different alternate universe storyline than Bioshock Infinite, takes place in a city of Rapture which is submerged underwater. You take on the role of Subject Delta who is a Big Daddy which played an important role in the first “Bioshock.” This game came out back in 2010 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac OS. If you only have an Xbox 360, you're out of luck. If you have a Playstation 3, come January, you're in luck. Make sure you have a PSN Plus account.
The announcement was made by Sony. However, that's not the only game that PSN Plus subscribers get to download for free. The other two free games for PSN Plus will be “Guardians of Middle-Earth” and the recent “Mortal Kombat” game which is a reboot of the series. If you own a Playstation Vita, you can access two free games for that console as well. On January 16, you'll be able to get “Jet Set Radio.” On January 23, you'll be able to get “Pinball Arcade.” If you have both a Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita, that's a total of five games you can get for free come January 2013.
Think of playing Bioshock 2 as preparation before playing Bioshock Infinite.
