Toronto - A man has been charged with two counts of human trafficking after he exercised control of two female sex trade workers this month.
According to Toronto Police between December 13 and December 22 the suspect exploited the two women by exercising control over their movements, taking their money and holding onto their personal documents.
The victims were forced to prostitute themselves by the accused.
On December 22 the victims were able to escape from the suspect.
Tyrone Burton, 28, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with two counts of exercising control, two counts of living on the avails of prostitution, two counts of human trafficking, two counts of receiving benefit from human trafficking and two counts of withholding or destroying documents.
Police believe that there are more victims.
